💊 Profile

Sodium morrhuate consists of the sodium salts of the fatty acids of cod-liver oil. It is a sclerosant that has been used in the treatment of varicose veins. Usual doses are 50 to 100 mg for small or medium veins or 150 to 250 mg for large veins given as a 5% solution by intravenous injection.
