💊 Chemical information
Phosphatidyl serine is a phospholipid that has been tried in the treatment of organic psychiatric syndromes and investigated as a cognition adjuvant. Phosphatidyl serine is a constituent of lecithin. Phosphoserine, which lacks the lipid and glycerol groups of phosphatidyl serine, has been used similarly; both (+)L-phosphoserine (dexfosfoserine) and the racemic form ( DL-phosphoserine) have been used. Phosphoserine has sometimes been used as a synonym for phosphatidyl serine.
