Arthritis.

Bee venom has traditionally been used in the treatment of arthritis.1,2 Studies in vitro have shown that bee venom has anti-inflammatory activity similar to that of cyclophosphamide. Melittin appears to be the active constituent, and seems to act by interfering with superoxide radical production from human leucocytes.1
