💊 Profile

Hydrofluorocarbons are used as refrigerants and as aerosol propellants. They are nonchlorinated and cause less ozone depletion than chlorinated fluorocarbons, which may lead to less detrimental effects on the environment. They are being used to replace chlorinated fluorocarbons as propellants in medicinal inhalers.
