💊 Profile

4-Dimethylaminophenol hydrochloride is reported to oxidise haemoglobin to methaemoglobin and has been used with sodium thiosulfate as an alternative to sodium nitrite in the treatment of cyanide poisoning. Doses of 3 to 4 mg/kg have been given intravenously.
