💊 Profile

Rufloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibacterial with properties similar to those of ciprofloxacin. It is given orally as the hydrochloride in the treatment of susceptible infections in a usual initial dose of 400 mg on the first day followed by 200 mg daily thereafter. A plasma half-life of 30 hours or more has been reported.
